Ostatni tydzień przyniósł mi wyjątkową radość, którą wciąż noszę w sobie jak miękkie, świetliste światło.
Mój żakieto-płaszczyk został uhonorowany II nagrodą w kategorii „Quilt Creations” podczas The Festival of Quilts 2026 w Birmingham – największego europejskiego festiwalu patchworku i quiltingu.

The past week has brought me a special kind of joy that I still carry within me like a soft, luminous light. My jacket‑coat was honoured with Second Prize in the “Quilt Creations” category at The Festival of Quilts 2026 in Birmingham – the largest patchwork and quilting festival in Europe.

Die vergangene Woche hat mir eine besondere Freude gebracht, die ich immer noch in mir trage wie ein weiches, leuchtendes Licht. Mein Jacken‑Mantel wurde mit dem zweiten Preis in der Kategorie „Quilt Creations“ beim Festival of Quilts 2026 in Birmingham ausgezeichnet – dem größten Patchwork‑ und Quilting‑Festival Europas.

To wyróżnienie jest dla mnie potwierdzeniem najwyższej jakości wykonania, ale także kreatywności, odwagi i artystycznej wizji, którą włożyłam w ten projekt. Szablon zaprojektowała Agnieszka Tylak.
Kiedy patrzyłam na swoją pracę wśród tylu znakomitych quiltów z całego świata, poczułam ogromną wdzięczność. Za drogę, którą przeszłam. Za ludzi, którzy mnie wspierają. Za każdą godzinę spędzoną przy maszynie, kiedy pomysł powoli zamieniał się w formę, a forma w dzieło. To moment, który zostanie ze mną na długo.

This distinction is, for me, a confirmation of the highest quality of craftsmanship, but also of the creativity, courage, and artistic vision I poured into this project. The pattern was designed by Agnieszka Tylak. As I looked at my work displayed among so many remarkable quilts from around the world, I felt immense gratitude. For the path I have travelled. For the people who support me. For every hour spent at the machine, when an idea slowly transformed into form, and form into a finished piece. It is a moment that will stay with me for a long time.

Diese Auszeichnung ist für mich eine Bestätigung höchster handwerklicher Qualität, aber auch meiner Kreativität, meines Mutes und meiner künstlerischen Vision, die ich in dieses Projekt eingebracht habe. Der Schnitt wurde von Agnieszka Tylak entworfen.Als ich meine Arbeit zwischen so vielen herausragenden Quilts aus der ganzen Welt sah, empfand ich große Dankbarkeit. Für den Weg, den ich gegangen bin. Für die Menschen, die mich unterstützen. Für jede Stunde an der Maschine, in der sich eine Idee langsam in eine Form und schließlich in ein fertiges Werk verwandelte. Dieser Moment wird lange bei mir bleiben.

Kilka dni wcześniej znalazłam się w zupełnie innym, ale równie inspirującym świecie.
We Wrocławiu odbył się wernisaż wystawy „Lubię patrzeć na chmury z góry” autorstwa Katarzyny Kulpy. Jej obrazy – pełne ruchu, organicznych form, głębokich barw i wielowarstwowych struktur – zrobiły na mnie ogromne wrażenie. To malarstwo, które żyje, pulsuje, wciąga w głąb kompozycji. Widać w nim zarówno energię żywiołów, jak i subtelność światła przenikającego przez abstrakcyjne kształty.

A few days earlier, I found myself in a completely different, yet equally inspiring world. In Wrocław, I attended the opening of the exhibition “I Like to Look at Clouds from Above” by Katarzyna Kulpa. Her paintings — full of movement, organic forms, deep colours, and multilayered textures — made a profound impression on me. It is painting that lives, pulses, and draws you into its compositions. You can see in it both the energy of the elements and the subtlety of light filtering through abstract shapes.

Einige Tage zuvor befand ich mich in einer ganz anderen, aber ebenso inspirierenden Welt. In Wrocław nahm ich an der Vernissage der Ausstellung „Ich mag es, Wolken von oben zu betrachten“ von Katarzyna Kulpa teil. Ihre Bilder – voller Bewegung, organischer Formen, tiefer Farben und vielschichtiger Strukturen – haben mich tief beeindruckt. Es ist eine Malerei, die lebt, pulsiert und einen in die Kompositionen hineinzieht. Man spürt sowohl die Energie der Elemente als auch die Zartheit des Lichts, das durch abstrakte Formen dringt.

Równie mocno zachwyciła mnie przestrzeń, w której prace zostały zaprezentowane.
Industrialne wnętrze, surowe ściany, widoczne instalacje – wszystko to tworzyło niezwykły kontrast z ekspresją obrazów. Ta sala nie tylko je „mieściła”, ale wręcz podkreślała ich dynamikę i głębię, pozwalając im wybrzmieć w pełnej sile.

I was equally captivated by the space in which the works were presented. The industrial interior, raw walls, and visible installations created a striking contrast with the expressive nature of the paintings. The room didn’t just “hold” the artworks — it enhanced their dynamism and depth, allowing them to resonate with full strength.

Ebenso hat mich der Raum begeistert, in dem die Werke präsentiert wurden. Das industrielle Ambiente, die rohen Wände und die sichtbaren Installationen bildeten einen faszinierenden Kontrast zur Ausdruckskraft der Bilder. Der Raum hat die Werke nicht nur „aufgenommen“, sondern ihre Dynamik und Tiefe noch stärker hervorgehoben, sodass sie in voller Kraft wirken konnten.
