Tegoroczny Brno Patchwork Meeting 2026 był dla mnie wyjątkowy pod wieloma względami. Pojechałam tam z ogromną ciekawością, ale nie spodziewałam się, że wrócę aż tak naładowana energią, inspiracją i… szczęściem. To była prawdziwa uczta dla oczu i duszy. Setki prac, różne techniki, niesamowite pomysły i perfekcyjne wykonania — można było przepaść na długie godziny, chłonąc kolory, faktury i historie zapisane w tkaninach.

This year’s Brno Patchwork Meeting 2026 was truly special for me in many ways. I went there full of curiosity, but I didn’t expect to return so charged with energy, inspiration and… happiness. It was a real feast for the eyes and the soul. Hundreds of works, different techniques, incredible ideas and perfect craftsmanship — one could get lost for hours, absorbing the colours, textures and stories woven into the fabrics.

Das diesjährige Brno Patchwork Meeting 18 war für mich in vielerlei Hinsicht etwas ganz Besonderes. Ich fuhr voller Neugier dorthin, aber ich hätte nicht erwartet, mit so viel Energie, Inspiration und… Glück zurückzukehren. Es war ein wahres Fest für Augen und Seele. Hunderte von Arbeiten, verschiedene Techniken, unglaubliche Ideen und perfekte Ausführung — man konnte stundenlang darin versinken und die Farben, Strukturen und Geschichten in den Stoffen aufsaugen.

Jednym z najważniejszych momentów wyjazdu było ogłoszenie wyników konkursu Creative – 50 odcieni, organizowanego przez Brno Patchwork Meeting. Zajęłam drugie miejsce. Nadal trudno mi uwierzyć, że moja praca została tak doceniona wśród tylu fantastycznych quiltów. Jestem ogromnie szczęśliwa i wdzięczna — to wyróżnienie dodało mi skrzydeł i jeszcze bardziej rozpaliło chęć tworzenia.

One of the most important moments of the trip was the announcement of the results of the Creative – 50 Shades, organized by Brno Patchwork Meeting. I won second place. I still find it hard to believe that my work was appreciated among so many fantastic quilts. I am incredibly happy and grateful — this recognition gave me wings and ignited an even stronger desire to create.

Einer der wichtigsten Momente der Reise war die Bekanntgabe der Ergebnisse des Wettbewerbs Creative – 50 Schattierungen, organisiert vom Brno Patchwork Meeting. Ich belegte den zweiten Platz. Es fällt mir immer noch schwer zu glauben, dass meine Arbeit unter so vielen fantastischen Quilts so hoch geschätzt wurde. Ich bin unglaublich glücklich und dankbar — diese Auszeichnung hat mir Flügel verliehen und meine Lust am kreativen Arbeiten noch mehr entfacht.

Brno Patchwork Meeting okazało się również rajem dla zakupoholików patchworkowych. Oczywiście wróciłam z torbami pełnymi skarbów — tkanin, dodatków, inspiracji na kolejne projekty. To takie drobiazgi, które potrafią uszczęśliwić bardziej, niż ktokolwiek by przypuszczał. Jednym z najprzyjemniejszych momentów było odwiedzenie stoiska quiltprofi-shop.eu, gdzie dostałam przepiękne nici FINESSE CLASSIC firmy Grace Company. To nici stworzone do pikowania — delikatne, idealnie skręcone, a kolory… prawdziwe marzenie. Już nie mogę się doczekać, kiedy trafią pod stopkę maszyny. Polecam je z całego serca — są naprawdę rewelacyjne.

Brno Patchwork Meeting also turned out to be a paradise for patchwork-loving shoppers. Of course, I didn’t come back empty‑handed — quite the opposite, I returned with bags full of treasures: fabrics, accessories and inspiration for new projects. These little things can bring more joy than one might expect. One of the nicest moments was visiting the quiltprofi-shop.eu booth, where I received beautiful FINESSE CLASSIC threads from Grace Company. These threads are made for quilting — smooth, perfectly twisted, and the colours… a dream come true. I can’t wait to use them. I wholeheartedly recommend them — they are truly excellent.

Brno Patchwork Meeting erwies sich auch als Paradies für patchworkbegeisterte Einkäuferinnen. Natürlich kam ich nicht mit leeren Händen zurück — im Gegenteil, ich brachte Taschen voller Schätze mit: Stoffe, Zubehör und Inspiration für neue Projekte. Solche Kleinigkeiten können mehr Freude bereiten, als man denkt. Einer der schönsten Momente war der Besuch des quiltprofi-shop.eu-Standes, wo ich die wunderschönen FINESSE CLASSIC-Garne von Grace Company erhielt. Diese Garne sind zum Quilten gemacht — weich, perfekt gedreht, und die Farben… ein Traum. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, sie zu verwenden. Ich empfehle sie von Herzen — sie sind wirklich hervorragend.

Ogromną przyjemność sprawiły mi też spotkania — te krótkie rozmowy, uśmiechy, wymiana doświadczeń, spontaniczne „jak miło cię widzieć!”. To właśnie ludzie tworzą atmosferę Brno Patchwork Meeting. Ta życzliwość, otwartość i poczucie wspólnoty sprawiają, że chce się tam wracać.

The meetings also brought me great joy — those short conversations, smiles, exchanges of experience, and spontaneous “so good to see you!”. It’s the people who create the atmosphere of Brno Patchwork Meeting. This kindness, openness and sense of community make you want to return.

Große Freude bereiteten mir auch die Begegnungen — kurze Gespräche, Lächeln, Erfahrungsaustausch und spontane „Wie schön, dich zu sehen!“. Die Menschen schaffen die besondere Atmosphäre des Brno Patchwork Meetings. Diese Freundlichkeit, Offenheit und das Gemeinschaftsgefühl lassen einen immer wieder zurückkehren wollen.

Wielką radością było również zobaczenie mojego leporello na stoisku Bohemia Patchwork Club Prague. Projekt nosi tytuł „Leporello – podróż nie tylko dookoła świata” i jest częścią większej, międzynarodowej inicjatywy. To projekt, który noszę w sercu, a widok mojej pracy wśród tylu pięknych realizacji był dla mnie czymś naprawdę wyjątkowym.

Another wonderful moment was seeing my leporello at the Bohemia Patchwork Club Prague booth. The project is titled “Leporello – A Journey Not Only Around the World” and is part of a larger international initiative. It’s a project close to my heart, and seeing it among so many beautiful works was truly special.

Ein weiterer wunderbarer Moment war, mein Leporello am Stand des Bohemia Patchwork Club Prague zu sehen. Das Projekt trägt den Titel „Leporello – Eine Reise nicht nur um die Welt“ und ist Teil einer größeren internationalen Initiative. Dieses Projekt liegt mir sehr am Herzen, und es zwischen so vielen schönen Arbeiten zu sehen, war etwas ganz Besonderes.

Widziałam tam także moje Round Bobbin — wszystkie szpulki prezentowane były przy wejściu na halę wystawową. Zobaczyć swoje prace wśród tylu pięknych realizacji to uczucie, którego nie da się porównać z niczym innym.

I also saw my Round Bobbin there — all the spools were displayed right at the entrance to the exhibition hall. Seeing your own work among so many beautiful creations is a feeling like no other.

Ich sah dort auch mein Round Bobbin — alle Spulen wurden direkt am Eingang der Ausstellungshalle präsentiert. Die eigenen Arbeiten unter so vielen schönen Werken zu sehen, ist ein unvergleichliches Gefühl.

Jeszcze jednym, bardzo osobistym akcentem tego wyjazdu było to, że moja praca Wild Hund została zaprezentowana na wystawie z okazji dziesięciolecia Polskiego Patchworku. Zobaczyć ją wśród prac tworzących historię naszej polskiej patchworkowej społeczności — to było dla mnie ogromne wyróżnienie i wzruszenie. Taki moment, w którym człowiek uświadamia sobie, jak wiele już stworzył i jak piękną drogę przeszedł.

A very personal highlight of this trip was that my work Wild Hund was presented at the exhibition celebrating the 10th anniversary of Polish Patchwork. Seeing it among works that form the history of our Polish patchwork community was a great honour and deeply moving. It was one of those moments when you realise how much you have already created and how beautiful the journey has been.

Ein sehr persönlicher Höhepunkt dieser Reise war, dass meine Arbeit Wild Hund auf der Ausstellung zum 10‑jährigen Jubiläum des Polnischen Patchworks gezeigt wurde. Sie unter Arbeiten zu sehen, die die Geschichte unserer polnischen Patchwork‑Gemeinschaft mitgestalten, war für mich eine große Ehre und sehr bewegend. Ein Moment, in dem man erkennt, wie viel man bereits geschaffen hat und wie schön der eigene Weg war.

Wyjazd na wystawę był dla mnie czasem pełnym inspiracji, emocji i twórczej energii. Wróciłam szczęśliwa, zmotywowana i z głową pełną nowych pomysłów. Już nie mogę się doczekać kolejnej edycji.

This trip was filled with inspiration, emotions and creative energy. I returned happy, motivated and full of new ideas. I already can’t wait for the next edition.

Die Reise nach Brünn war für mich voller Inspiration, Emotionen und kreativer Energie. Ich kam glücklich, motiviert und voller neuer Ideen zurück. Ich kann die nächste Ausgabe kaum erwarten.
