For several years now, I’ve been taking part in Project QUILTING, a creative challenge hosted by Kim Lapacek. It’s a joyful experience that brings together quilting enthusiasts from around the world — sparking inspiration, pushing boundaries, and celebrating handmade art.
This year’s first challenge is titled A Clean Slate, inspired by the Pantone Color of the Year: white. I chose to sew a white pillow, quilted exclusively with white thread. No contrast, no color — just texture and light. The quilting itself became the main character of this piece, revealing its beauty through subtle shadows and delicate structure.
Sometimes, silence speaks the loudest.
