15th Project Quilting- 6th Challenge 2024.

The 15th season of Project QUILTING is coming to an end! That means I’ve been boring you with my patchwork challenges over the past few weeks, all inspired by Trish from Kim Lapacek’s blog.

In this challenge, we’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. And since we’re quilters, we’re going to work with variations on a simple, dynamic quilt pattern: the Irish Chain.

I found my pattern in Electric Quilt 8, and it’s called the “LeMoyne Single Irish Chain”.

I decided to sew a pin cushion using fabrics I purchased two years ago at the 14th International PPM Quilt Show in Brno.

I cut out 8 small squares, 4 medium squares, and 1 large square, just like in the diagram above.

I stitched the individual pieces together and assembled them into sections.

After a few minor adjustments, everything fits perfectly.

Finally, I added a decorative ribbon with little flowers and a tiny rose to one of the corners. And with that final touch, I completed the project and wrapped up the last challenge of the 15th season – Project Quilting.
