The 15th season of Project QUILTING has begun! That means I will be participating in fantastic patchwork challenges for the next few weeks, which are created for us by Trish, who takes over Kim Lapacek’s blog for the duration of the game.
This week, Trish wants us to be inspired by the countless places that birds call “home”. As always, this can be interpreted in many ways: birdhouses, nests, bird cages, and trees. It all depends on our creativity!
We have just a week to meet the challenge. Each challenge element must be a COMPLETED project seen from CONCEPTION to COMPLETION during the challenge period – from January7th till 14th. So, let’s get started.
I decided to make a birdhouse out of colorful fabrics. See how it went for me!

The biggest challenge was connecting the roof to the front wall. Now I know it’s better to sew the front wall to the roof first, and then the back wall.
And that’s how my birdhouse was created! I am very pleased with the effect, and I hope the birds will like it. First challenge completed!”
