Today I would like to share my experiences from the December meeting at the University of Folk Arts and Crafts. As usual, it was very creative. This time I had the opportunity to participate in two ceramic workshops.
On the first day, I made a mushroom.
I used the “hollow full sculpture” method to make it. This method involves removing the entire interior of the clay, leaving only a thin shell that forms the shape of the sculpture.
On the second day, I made a jug using clay rollers.
This is a plastic technique that allows for the creation of incredible patterns and shapes on clay. Clay rollers come in different sizes and shapes, allowing for different effects to be achieved. Working with clay rollers requires precision and patience, but allows for interesting effects in ceramic creation.
In painting, we made a collage. This is an artistic technique that involves creating a composition from various materials. I used colorful newspapers for this.
The theme of the collage was “My Inner Animal”.
You may be wondering why there is an egg instead of an animal on my collage. This is because my animal is inside the egg, it has not hatched yet. It is waiting for me and what it will become.
I was able to weave two beautiful arrows in weaving.
The rest of the projects are in progress, so I will show it another time.
