 Snowflake

 Snowflake

Only a few more days left until the exhibition starts, but that doesn’t mean I can rest on my laurels. For example, I can make another mandala. This time, I decided to make a snowflake for myself.

The design made by Tatyana Putyatina

I’ve used pinks and purples, yellows and reds, but this time I went with greys and blues.

I was very curious what it would look like. I started with white, and then I continued to grey. It turned out better than I expected.

I must admit that I was a bit nervous when I introduced the blue color. I was not entirely sure if it was a good idea.

I chose the color, I quilted it, and then I panicked. But only for a moment. Since I liked the grays so much, I decided to give up on the blue.  I went back to the grey color, and that decision turned out to be a bullseye.

I used only seven colors and stuck the needle 382,708 times into the fabric.
