I must confess that in my closet, cotton panels reign. I guess I’m slowly becoming a “panel-oholic”.
As soon as I see one in the store, my brain immediately processes the image and checks if it is suitable for the OBW. If so, I’m going to buy it. It’s good that I don’t buy abroad because my budget wouldn’t stand it.
The panels wait quietly in a closet, waiting for their turn. Sometimes they have to wait quite a long time.
This one has been waiting for me to have pity on it and give it a new life since December 2021.
For those interested, it is from the Pani Szpilka online store, and it is called River Rock Woodland Whispers, by Hoffman Fabrics.
In this case, to make OBW, I needed thirteen panels, instead of seven like before. There were so many hexagons to sew. But sometimes I like this kind of simple sewing.
The fun began when I finished sewing all of the hexagons. It’s good that I have a large table. I could arrange all of the pieces on it. Thanks to this, it was much easier to choose the hexagons that fit the panel
I admit that, after finishing this arrangement, my legs ached quite badly from moving around the table, and back to the design wall, then back to the table, then the design wall, table, wall, table, wall, and so on
But it was worth it. Didn’t it turn out wonderfully?
All of the pieces have been stitched, the center panel is attached. Now I’m waiting for an idea regarding how to quilt it.
