The Peacock’s Eye

The Peacock’s Eye

Last year I signed up for the second edition of the exhibit “closed in a suitcase”, named “COLORS,” organized by the Polish Patchwork Association. So, I really needed to get to work.

This is not the only project I have been working on, but it was given priority because I had to finish it by February 28 th , 2022.

As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be perfect.

So, I pulled out my colorful rags and went to work. Every part of this design was drawn on double sided fusible web and cut out with scissors.

Next, all of the cut elements were glued onto selected fabrics. Of course, not all at the same time.

Spread out some fabric, which was supposed to be the background, over the printed design. This time I did not limit myself to the color wheel.

All of the fabrics used in this project were hand dyed by me (except black).

The project is almost ready. The only thing left to do is to add some decorative quilting. Unfortunately, I won’t be showing you the finished piece. If I did then there wouldn’t be any surprise during the exhibit.

Have a nice day.
