Overdue work

Overdue work

A few weeks ago, my friend Sylwia brought me two tops to quilt.

I had planned to quilt them quickly and then get back to my screen project, but as the saying goes: “Man proposes, God disposes.”

Still, better late than never.

The time for quilting finally came. First, a basset hound landed on the longarm.

He got a tiny, delicate fur texture. Quilting him was very pleasant, though not particularly emotional.

Then came the beautiful sabre‑toothed tiger — my favourite. Made by Sylwia at my request. He is absolutely stunning.

Here I had much more fun and became a true master at changing the bobbin.

And here you can see the backs of the quilted pieces.

That’s all for this week. Maybe the next one will finally bring some progress on my screen.

Keep your fingers crossed.
