It is time to start dyeing

It is time to start dyeing

A week ago, I wrote to you that I was starting a new project (I will name it “Screen 2”) and that I will have to check my stock of colors in the wardrobe and see what colors are missing.

I checked.

I found my fabric stock to be quite lean and that I needed it a little refilling. So, I cut three big rolls of fabric and started dyeing.

I started the dyeing madness on Monday. Today is also Monday (a week later), and I’m still dyeing.

And it does nott stop there. Besides the specific colors that I need (as I rationalize it to myself) I will continue to experiment with new ones (if I’ll be alive still). I admit that I am temporarily exhausted.

I know that there is no pressure, that I can take a break, but how can I stop? If I’m going to start this process I might as well take it to its painful extreme. How much more time will I need? I don’t know, I’m too far in.

The rabbits don’t help me here. In the eyes of my imagination, I can see a multi-colored Patch running around my dye space. I would change her name to Rainbow (but honestly, I think it could be very harmful for her). There is also Kitek, who goes downstairs several times a day to be petted and to check on the progress.

And there is progress. See for yourself.
