First, I need to praise myself a little bit. I claimed first place in Kim Lapacek’s third Project Quilting challenge. My award was this funny patch from Waggonswest. Thank you very much and I also want to congratulate all the other winners.
Of course, I was not idle in the meantime. I have already completed one of the two projects for the competition and exhibition (a two-in-one event) “How it Was With Linen”, organized by the Polish Patchwork Association and Museum of Linen in Zyrardow.
Unfortunately, I cannot boast about anything at the moment because I have not decided which piece I will submit for the competition and which one will go to the exhibition. But I keep sewing.
Additionally, I sewed a nice table runner using a lovely full panel called “Once in a Blue Mood”, which I bought in Kiltowo. The color matches my sofa perfectly.
To sew it, I also used two other fabrics, Light Blue Mums and Dark Blue Butterfly Scroll, also purchased from Kiltowo. I think that the binding with stripes added extra charm. I did not go nuts while quilting. I just ran the machine over the contours.
I also took part in a game organized by the Polish Patchwork Association – “I’ll Sew You a Heart on Valentine’s Day.” Barbara was my Valentine. I sewed her an owl.
I also received a Valentine’s Day gift from my friend Elisabeth. I waited till Valentine’s Day to open it, although I was very tempted to open it sooner.
This is so cute. Thank you, Elisabeth.
I must say that this week has been highly creative and exciting
