Stitching slow stories...

A post about everything and nothing.

A post about everything and nothing.

Where to start? Maybe I’ll begin by telling you my elbow still hurts, so all my creative work has taken a back seat. Even during classes at the University of Artistic Crafts in Wola Sękowa, I can’t do much.  I cannot participate, I can only watch.

Or maybe I’ll start with the fact that I still have renovations in my house going on. The work is progressing, the studio is being built, the roof is being constructed, but unfortunately, I had to reorganize my studio. My sewing machines are in boxes, I have no windows, and everywhere is filled with dust, which is an inevitable sign that renovations are ongoing. Cleaning, covering, and sealing gaps doesn’t help – the dust lives its own life and sneaks in wherever it can.

Or maybe I’ll tell you that I won’t be able to participate in the competitions in Brno, the event organized by the Polish Patchwork Association titled “The World of Insects,” or the challenge organized by EQA for 2025 titled “Contrast.”

All of this is passing me by. It’s a difficult and overwhelming time for me because I’m not used to my hands not creating anything. That’s all for now. Maybe next week will be better.
