Do you remember the patient that came to me for plastic surgery?  I had to start repairing that quilt by<\/em> performing open heart surgery on it first, so the plastic surgery had to be postponed. Thanks to the long<\/em> recovery time, my patient\u2019s health improved, and the plastic surgery could finally be scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surgery was serious. It lasted five days and I think it worked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who quilt know that the quilting can make a quilt more attractive or it might completely spoil it. If you ruin your own quilt you put it into a closed and never show it to anyone. But if it is not yours how to say to someone that you messed up?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whenever I get to work, I do it with the soul on my shoulder (that means I am scared to death <\/em>\ud83d\ude0a). I know I still have a lot to learn. But practice makes perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wondered for a long time how to make everything work out well. I figured out that I can use the technique. I decided to design the quilting pattern on a computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, I used Corel. I took a picture of the quilt and transferred it into the program. <\/p>\n\n\n

Next, I drew patterns that I was going to quilt.<\/p>\n\n\n

I put them on the picture of the quilt to see if everything would fit together all right.<\/p>\n\n\n

For the bottom of the quilt I used some fabric that I had prepared earlier.<\/em> You can find description of its execution here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When everything was OK, I got to quilting.<\/p>\n\n\n

In addition, I used freezer paper. I wrote about this method here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

I also used rulers.<\/p>\n\n\n

After the work was done, it was still necessary to finished up and cut off the threads.<\/p>\n\n\n
