I don\u2019t even remember anymore when the last time I worked on a project without having to take a brake. I don’t know if it’s been happening like this all year or if I’m starting to change my work style. Until now, before starting a new project, I always finished the old one. Why? Because I am afraid of unfinished projects that will be in my closet. It\u2019s very depressing seeing unfinished projects. And I can’t handle negative emotions well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the past few days, I have been working on the \u201cPhoto Exchange\u201d organized by EQA, you can read about it here<\/a>. I am almost done with it. One quilt is finished and the other one is on the Bernina frame. I am not allowed to show you either one yet because, for now, it is meant to be a secret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I have no creative inspiration when it comes to quilting the second piece, so I went back to working on Illusion II.<\/p>\n\n\n

Now it is time to continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The time now has come for the frame, and this is where the problems started. Unfortunately, not all fabrics were wide enough to cover the entire pattern in particular color. I had to connect them, which I don’t like doing very much. Additionally, I had to remember about the correct order of the „circles” to be cut in order to use the fabric in the most efficient way. One mistake and I would have to buy a whole new piece of fabric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I experienced the same difficulties with double sided fusible web. I wish they would make them in sizes bigger than 90 cm. Because of this the number of pieces I had to put together was quite large.  <\/p>\n\n\n

The frame is almost ready.<\/p>\n\n\n

And over here everything is connected already<\/p>\n\n\n

Of course, after everything was quilted, it had to undergo thorough organoleptic inspection. So, there was looking, touching, and even licking.<\/p>\n\n\n

Unfortunately, only \u0141atka did the work because Pimpu\u015b was temporarily indisposed. He fought the ear-thief and temporarily lost that fight.<\/p>\n\n\n

Getting back on topic, the whole quilt looks like this. I think I will have to quilt it manually because I do not like the wrinkles that appeared. But there is an illusion effect for sure, so I achieved what I wanted. Now it’s time to polish it up, but it will take some time, so I will show off the final effects at a later time.<\/p>\n\n\n
