Hi it\u2019s me -Sylwia 2<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am proud to present \u201cMay Day\u201d- the collage quilt   by Emily Taylor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starring- silicone non-stick baking mat and some baking paper<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playing the part of supporting roles – fabrics, assorted scraps, scissors, double sided fusible web, freezer paper, batting, back fabric, and colorful threads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to the main celebrities: a silicone nonstick mat and baking paper. Two game changers.<\/p>\n\n\n

I learned about the nonstick silicone mat from the sixth issue of the magazine \u201cSzyjemy Patchworki,\u201d published by SPP. Let me demonstrate its potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We lay down the fabric on double sided fusible web.<\/p>\n\n\n

Drum roll  please \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n

The fabric is glued on, with no residue, and the rest of the glue remained where it belongs, on the paper instead of the ironing board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now it is time to introduce the baking paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made a collage sheet by using small scraps of fabric glued on a double-sided interlining, then I added the scraps and put them on the baking paper and ironed them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cut around edges and my collage leaves are done.<\/p>\n\n\n

If I don\u2019t have any freezer paper, I use baking paper instead. With the help of a black marker, copy the item onto the baking sheet. The advantage of this is that the contours are visible on both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n

I arrange the scraps.<\/p>\n\n\n

I cut it along the edges, and it is done.<\/p>\n\n\n

I made all of the elements of this quilt using this method.<\/p>\n\n\n
