Last week I had lot of fun quilting two patchwork blankets. It was my form of rest and relaxation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blankets are simple because they have only two layers, the front, and the back. They look like real patchworks, but that is only in appearance. For the back layer I used coverlet KRATTFIOL 200×220, flannel in pink and gray, that I found in Jysk. They are very soft and pleasant to the touch, and they have the perfect width of 220 cm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did not have to play with sewing different pieces together, because I managed to buy a single piece of cotton fabric, 220cm wide, with a print imitating patchwork. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thought that quilting would be quick, but it took me a while. I think I need more time to recover from the previous patchwork challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also applied to participate in the third edition of the exhibition Closed in a Suitcase – this time the theme is HOUSES. Only members of the Polish Patchwork Association can participate in the fun, but my daughter (who is home for vacation) also wanted to sew a house, so even though she will not be able to show her work in at the Polish Patchwork show, I will share her progress with you on the blog.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
