On June 13, I had the great pleasure of welcoming a wonderful group of quilters and patchwork enthusiasts from the USA to my studio. The visit was organized by Janet McDonald, and the group consisted of 10 people. We had exchanged messages beforehand, but meeting in person turned out to be even more special than I imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am 13. Juni hatte ich die gro\u00dfe Freude, in meinem Atelier eine wunderbare Gruppe von Quilterinnen und Patchwork\u2011Liebhaberinnen aus den USA zu begr\u00fc\u00dfen. Der Besuch wurde von Janet McDonald organisiert, und die Gruppe bestand aus 10 Personen. Wir hatten bereits vorher E\u2011Mails ausgetauscht, aber das pers\u00f6nliche Treffen war noch sch\u00f6ner, als ich es mir vorgestellt hatte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent the afternoon talking about techniques, materials, inspirations, and the differences between our quilting worlds. There was plenty of laughter, interesting questions, and a true exchange of experiences. I love these moments when art connects people from different parts of the world and suddenly we all speak the same language \u2014 the language of fabric, color, and passion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir verbrachten den Nachmittag mit Gespr\u00e4chen \u00fcber Techniken, Materialien, Inspirationen und die Unterschiede zwischen unseren Patchwork\u2011Welten. Es gab viel Lachen, viele interessante Fragen und einen echten Austausch von Erfahrungen. Ich liebe solche Momente, in denen Kunst Menschen aus verschiedenen Teilen der Welt verbindet und wir pl\u00f6tzlich alle dieselbe Sprache sprechen \u2014 die Sprache der Stoffe, Farben und Leidenschaft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was happy to show them my creative space, talk about my processes, projects, and exhibitions, and hear about their own quilting journeys. It was a visit full of good energy, inspiration, and kindness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich habe mich sehr gefreut, ihnen meinen kreativen Raum zu zeigen, \u00fcber meine Prozesse, Projekte und Ausstellungen zu erz\u00e4hlen und auch von ihren eigenen Quilt\u2011Reisen zu h\u00f6ren. Es war ein Besuch voller guter Energie, Inspiration und Herzlichkeit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you to Janet and the entire group for this warm and beautiful presence. I hope our paths cross again someday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vielen Dank an Janet und die ganze Gruppe f\u00fcr diese warme und sch\u00f6ne Begegnung. Ich hoffe, dass sich unsere Wege eines Tages wieder kreuzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
