Lately I was so busy working on my quilt that I am going to show on MPT Home Décor w Poznaniu ( International Trade Fair in Poznan) so there is a time to talk about something else. About my quilt that I created in February 2013.
I found my inspiration in a very interesting book “quilted symphony” by Gloria Loughman.
In that book Gloria gives step-by-step instruction how to take your imagination on higher level, to create a unique quilt. From that book you learn how to create an abstract design and then break down into easy segments to saw and embellish.
In that book she shows some of her projects.
I was sawing according to her instructions.
Because I am not a very good student, sI had to make it twice. The first quilt I saw using batiks and I just hated. That poor thing ended up in garbage can.
The next one I saw using my hand dyed fabrics and I liked it much better.
I am not going to “play Gloria” and teach you how to do it. She is hundred times better teacher than I am. I just show you my finished quilt.
