I think I like looking for trouble. I recently finished renovating the upper part of my house and it seemed to me that I would have peace and quiet for the next few years. But no, I have to think of something new for my house so that no one at home gets bored or has any peace.
I decided to replace the fireplace in my sewing studio with a newer, smaller model, because the older one takes up way too much space. Living with a rabbit playpen in my studio, every square inch of floorspace is important. The playpen brings me an enormous peace of mind at night. At nighttime, the rabbits have amazing ideas and like to go wild. The cable for my Bernina Longarm can attest to that.
So, I started a small renovation project. My Bernina Longarm got protected against all dust and dirt.
The room is a mess with all the renovation, so there are more and more construction tools everywhere. But worst of all, the job is standing still. The weather is hot. It’s good that at least the wardrobe door is painted – my latest idea, since we’re renovating and all.
You have to do something, but the progress has been terribly slow. Since they’re not doing anything, I uncovered my sewing machine and started sewing hexagons for my OBW blocks. The panel is so attractive. Of course, I bought it from the Pani Szpilka online store. It was love at first sight and I did not hesitate even for a second.
I cut it a while ago, and it’s been on a shelf and waiting since I had no time to work on it. So now, I sit and keep sewing slowly. I am positive this is going to take a while. I hope that that renovation will start up again and finish quickly, and that I will be able to show you something new next week.
