I thought that when the rain came, the renovation process would start up at full speed, and I was right, it started. But not as fast as I was hoping for. Right now, I am sitting in my sewing studio where my computer is the only thing accessible, the rest of my sewing stuff is covered with plastic for protection against all the dust that is everywhere. I don’t have the strength to keep cleaning anymore.
The progress is visible. The fireplace is there, but there is still so much ahead of us. We still need to build the encasement for the fireplace, spackle, do a finishing coat. Anyone who has ever done this know how much work there is to do. And we still need to paint. The whole first floor. I am overwhelmed.
I know I have a lot of stuff in my studio. Everything will need to be removed and then moved back in and arranged. I think I need to control my hoarding habit and stop trying to hold on to every little thingbecause I “might need it one day”.
