I recently had the opportunity to host my friends, Sylwia Haluch and Katarzyna Plesniak.
To make their stay more interesting, I decided to do a mini workshop class. I used a material that you probably know very well by now. It is used in raw edge applique and sewing clothing – double sided fusible web.
The girls’ task was to color the double-sided fusible web and then use it in a project.
When our projects were ready, I took a hair dryer to speed it up because I wanted the girls to take it home.
To show the girls how to use the colored web, we used some samples that were prepared earlier by me. And again, to speed things up, we used my plotter, “GO! Baby!”, to cut certain shapes.
After that, my students arranged their patterns on a plain fabric and gave it a good press.
Next, the only left to do was to peel off the paper from the other side of the double-sided web.
I hope my students like it. I had very good time with them and I am very happy.
