Exhibition – “Patchwork – Love and Passion

Exhibition – “Patchwork – Love and Passion

The opening of the “Patchwork – Love and Passion” exhibit by Sylwia Ignatowska (me) and Sylwia Haluch (Sylwia 2), which I’ve written about before, took place on Friday, July 1st, 2022.

The vernissage took place at the Cultural Center Foresterium, next to the beautiful ruins of the 18th Century, Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites on the Mariemont hill in Zagórz.

It is one of the few preserved fortified monasteries in Poland and is located in the former lands of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. You can read about its history here.

Seeing as I am a fan of all ruins, and by that I am not talking about collapsing cottages or barns, but bout castles, monasteries, and churches, this particular one made a great impression on me. I could go on and on for a long time writing about it, but I won’t. You’ll just have to see it for yourself.

Today I would like to, once again, express my thanks to Ms. Ewelina Kaszycka Jankowska, a fantastic organizer, and to all the other ladies who helped in arranging the exhibition.

The exhibition was fabulous.
