Last year, my plans to finish at least one UFO project in my studio was unsuccessful. I wrote about it here. This time is different.
I finally got down to work. Panels I had bought some time ago went under the knife and into the machine.
They waited a little bit of time for their turn. Actually, I started to work on two projects at the same time. On my long arm, there is currently another project I am working on.
This time I cut the panels into much smaller pieces than I typically do. Each triangle is a little over 2 inches. Unfortunately, for such small panels, I could not cut them any bigger.
When everything was ready I started sewing them together, and then started ironing.
I have to show you my new toy, the sewing clapper that I got from Sylwia Haluch, that was made by her husband Chris.
At the beginning I was very skeptical. I thought that I would probably never use it, but I was wrong. It was very helpful when I was ironing my hexagons. Big thank you to them.
A while ago I got another device, thanks to this, I was able to burn my logo on the clapper. Now the clapper is mine only and I will never give it to anyone.
Hexagons are sewn and organized.
Hexagons are sewn and organized. Now they wait to be arranged into one piece and to be quilted. I hope I will be able to finish it before the end of November. That way I could finally say that I finished my UFO in November.
