I’ve just passed the halfway point of the 15th season of Project QUILTING! It’s incredible how quickly time flies.
Here’s the new challenge – ‘hourglasses. It could be a time-measuring device, a patchwork block, or the ideal female body. Of course, everything depends on us and our imagination.
This time, I decided to make a bookmark for a book with the message that time is in my hands.
For this purpose, I used remnants of quilted fabric that remained from my leftover quilted fabric.
I used a drawing by Irina Czernienko.
I drew the pattern on water-soluble interfacing.
I cut it out and glued it onto the remnant of quilted fabric.
Then I stitched the drawn contours with chain and cord stitches.
I trimmed the bookmark to the appropriate size and finished it on the machine with a zigzag stitch.
Additionally, I decorated the edges of the bookmark with beads.
