Vernissage at the Filip de Girard Linen Museum in Żyrardów

In this post, I want to share with you some photos and impressions from the vernissage of the “Artistic Fabric” exhibition, where I had the pleasure of presenting mine and Sylwia Haluch art quilts all together.

The vernissage took place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Filip de Girard Linen Museum in Żyrardów and was a unique artistic event for me. The opening of the exhibition began at 6:00 PM, attracting lovers of Art Quilts. We presented nearly 80 projects at the exhibition, which are appreciated either in Poland and around the world.

The choice of the Linen Museum as the venue was not accidental, as it continues Żyrardów’s textile traditions by resuming the production of jacquard linen fabrics. It is in this historic place, 25 years after the closure of the Żyrardów Linen Plants, that the textile industry is coming back to life, and the vernissage was a perfect opportunity to celebrate this revival.

It was an extraordinary experience and a great joy for me to be able to show my works. I am very grateful to Director Jacek Czubak for the invitation and the opportunity to exhibit our works in such a beautiful location.

I also thank the staff of the Gallery for their professional care. And of course, I thank everyone who came to the vernissage and supported us with their presence and kind words.
