Second Diploma Thesis Project: Patchwork Table Runner with Kashubian Flat Embroidery

My first diploma project is behind me, and now it’s time for the second one. As I mentioned earlier, to complete my two-year education at the Folk University of Artistic Crafts, I need to complete two projects. The first one is already done, only the description is missing, and now it’s time for the second one.

This time, I decided to sew a small patchwork table runner, using Kashubian flat embroidery in the Żukowo school technique as the main motif. I found the runner pattern on Etsy, in the ILoveToQuiltBySylwia shop, and it’s called Julie. I really liked it. In my imagination, I could already see how beautiful it would look with my embroidery. Of course, this is an experiment, and I don’t know what the final efect will look like, but I hope it will be beautiful.

Unfortunately, working on flat embroidery is very time-consuming, so today I will show you the beginnings of my work, even though I have already spent dozens of hours on it.
