Quilt Fest 2025 – A Celebration of Patchwork in the Heart of Austria In October 2025, Wiener Neustadt will transform into a vibrant hub of textile art. In the historic Kasematten, the Quilt Fest will take place, organized by Patchwork Gilde Austria to mark their 30th anniversary. This event brings together over a thousand visitors and a community of more than 850 members, who are united by a passion for patchwork, color, and stories stitched with thread.
My collaboration with the Guild began with a brief conversation in Brno — a moment that quickly blossomed into an invitation to participate in the festival, exhibit my work, and take part in an interview for their magazine. That interview has already taken place, and the warmth and openness of the Guild confirmed what I felt from the start: Patchwork Gilde Austria is not just an organization, but a true community.
On Friday, October 10th, I’ll be leading a 6-hour workshop focused on the technique “Kaleidoscope – One Block Wonder” — full of rhythm, surprises, and transformation. It’s a method that allows a single fabric to unfold into a kaleidoscopic composition, unpredictable and mesmerizing. The course is already fully booked — only waiting list registration is available at this time. It gives me great joy that the topic has aroused so much interest.
During the festival, I’ll also be presenting my quilts in a special exhibition. For me, this is not only a chance to share my work, but also to connect, exchange experiences, and celebrate the art of quilting together. Quilt Fest is a space where textile art meets emotion, storytelling, and community.
I look forward to this trip with gratitude and excitement — not only as an artist, but as someone who cherishes meetings, colors, and stories. Patchwork, for me, is more than a technique — it’s a way of seeing the world. And that’s exactly the kind of world we’ll find in Wiener Neustadt.
